For the best in home theater and surround sound listening experience try the Wyatt Acoustics Focus system. Three of the Focus MTM speakers are used for the home theater and music listening front end. The unique properties of the MTM configuration allows the center channel to be laid on its side for better clearance of the video screen. Two satellite cabinets are used for the surrounds. These speakers use the Usher UA721 configuration developed by Dr. Joseph D’Appolito. Dr. D’Appolito chose the Usher 9950C-15 tweeter and Usher 8836AC woofer because of their smooth response, linearity, and low distortion. The 9950C features a copper shorting ring on its pole piece, which reduces distortion and extends the high frequency response. The 8836AC’s woven Kevlar cone contributes to the woofer’s neutral reproduction and realistic dynamic range. Both drivers’ motors incorporate magnetic shielding to prevent interference with adjacent equipment. The 12″ Focus subwoofer delivers deep, rich bass tones and high-impact theater sound.
The extremely rigid MTM enclosures are 22” tall, 9” wide,13.5” deep and weighs 40 lbs each. The satellite dimensions are 14” tall, 8.5” wide, 10” deep and weighs 25 lbs. Black grill covers are included. The standard cabinet finish is a jet black paint with a satin lacquer topcoat. Standard veneers are Maple, Cherry and Walnut.
